Born and raised in New York City, Marlene Mendoza developed a passion for music at a young age. She began playing the guitar and writing songs, eventually pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Music to further hone her skills. After graduation, Marlene embarked on a journey as a touring guitarist with several bands, gaining invaluable experience and refining her craft.

However, it was her desire to express herself fully as an artist that led Marlene to step into the spotlight as a metal solo artist. In 2022, she released her debut EP titled "Insanity," which received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. The EP showcases Marlene's ability to captivate listeners with her powerful vocals and raw emotions.

Marlene's talent and dedication to her craft have not gone unnoticed. She was featured as a contestant on American Idol Season 20, auditioning in front of celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry. This experience further fueled her determination to excel as a Latina woman in the male-dominated rock/metal world.

When Marlene is not on tour or in the studio, she shares her knowledge and passion for music by teaching guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass. Additionally, she creates reaction videos on YouTube, where she shares her insights and reactions to various music performances and releases. Her engaging personality and expertise have garnered her over a million views on her channel.
